This session is comprised of the following expected outcomes:
- Establish the organizational Diversity Process as one component of the organization's overall business strategy
- Discuss the Diversity Council's Critical Role in the Diversity Process
- Ensure understanding of importance of fostering a culture that leverages diversity
- Establish clear linkage among diversity and corporate priorities
- Identify specific, achievable objectives
- Plan next steps
- Update and agreement on the organization's Diversity Process
- Identification of the business motive(s) for the diversity process
- Identification of the overall goal and focus for the diversity process at the organization
- Creation of the diversity vision, mission and definition
- Establishment of the link between organization's corporate strategic initiative and the diversity process
- Assessment and analysis of the organization's programs, behaviors and culture and their impact on systems, policies and practices that either facilitate or hinder the attainment of the organization's business objectives
- Development of a comprehensive diversity plan which includes objectives, strategies and measurable tactics
- Creation of a timeline, accountabilities and resources needed to meet objectives
- Enhanced understanding of the role of Employee Networks
